I have the OEM BMW touch up paint that the BMW dealership sells, and used it on a few small chips on my 2002 Steel Grey 325ci. The color is way too dark and is not even a close match. The color code for my car is Steel Grey 400, and I confirmed that the paint stick is "Stahlgrau 400" made for BMW in germany. So it is the right stuff for sure.

iTrader: ( 0) Just a heads up regarding the Ferric Grey. There are two types. A80 Ferric Grey and B55 Ferric Grey II. I chose the wrong one, A80 :P. As you can see there is very much purple in it. Very nice in shadow/after sunset, but way too purple in the direct sunlight. The B55 is the one that was used on the M235i. Orbit Grey.

iTrader: ( 0) E92 Paint Code Variations. I had to respray part of my bumper after someone reversed into it, so ordered some ‘A52 Space Grey’ from a paint shop online and got to work. For some reason the colour didn’t match - was much darker, more like Sparkling Graphite. Double checked the paint code from my VIN and confirmed it was A52.
